Hello Philip and Rebekah, my husband, Terry worked with your dad and they got on very well, and were always there for each other when needed. We were very sorry to hear of the accident and the passing of a great guy. As we know your dad was a nurse and first aider, instead of sending flowers, we have opened a page in his memory for donations to the Lincolnshire Air Ambulance, as we knew your dad thought they do a good job, relying on donations and fund raising. Here is the link, if you would like to take a look. May you and your sister find comfort in the fact that your dad had so many friends and was well liked by all who knew him. God Bless. From Liz and Terry.

While donations are a personal choice we are awaiting instructions from Andy's family as per the funeral arrangements and if, and to whom, they would like donations made.

These will be posted here as soon as we receive them.

As promised by his family, I now have the full details of Andy’s funeral arrangements.

It will be held on Monday 26th January at 11.40am at Grimsby Crematorium, Weelsby Avenue, Grimsby DN32 0BA.

Everyone is welcome at the Crematorium and also back to raise a glass in Andy’s memory at the British Legion, Cartergate, Grimsby.

I have been asked to stress that while everyone is welcome, sadly there isn’t room, after all, for trucks at the Crematorium.

Phillip and Rebekah, and indeed the entire family, have expressed a wish that people send flowers OR a donation to The Professional Drivers Foundation.

Donations can be made on the day or sent to the funeral directors, at

Near and Near
The Mews
David Street
Grimsby
DN32 9NN

If any further information is required please call 07909 995615

I am at a loss for words, I never met Andy in person, but have known him for quite a while on the Internet and can only think of good things about him, he was always willing to offer good advise and constructive comment on here, I will miss him for sure.
