A quiet week as usual. Monday was a stroll along the river on the Welsh side.
Tuesday was fence coating hunt to find some of the same shade to do the other fence, I finally tracked some down on Thursday lurking in Jewsons.
Wednesday; Newent didn't know what hit it but was hiding it's treasures from us. The stroll around the lake made up for the lack of success on the foraging front.

Monday: Was a bank holiday spent mostly in the garden catching up with all the jobs needed to keep it looking presentable Cool

Tuesday: My return to work was a slightly dull event, at least until the duff headlamp bulb got replaced Laughing . Then it was Southall first, followed by a visit to Uxbridge before heading to Greenford. Park Royal was the last easy drop, once I'd got to the front of the queue, as the next two in Holloway and Tottenham both suffer from limited access. Holloway is a residential road, which I had to block being the second lorry to turn up there, while Tottenham suffers from being accessible only if you're lucky with the parked cars, which doesn't do the nerves much good on the way in I can tell you. Today I was lucky with both, and got in and out without too much trouble, leaving me to wend my way back to a new Luton delivery, which turned out to be buried at the back of a cul de sac Rolling Eyes With a little bit of shuffling around access was achieved, and the trailer emptied. Straight back to Guyhirn.

Wednesday: Out to Bracknell today, where among their delivery was a pallet which should have been somewhere else Brick Wall . Next up cam Slough, despite the paperwork saying otherwise, then into Hayes a bit behind schedule but without the need to go back to Slough. Southall was only a short hop away, then Luton came along again, although a different customer this time. Final drop went into Potton, after some careful shunting so several of us could get in and out safely, then it was straight back to the yard.

Thursday: A Kentish foray, beginning with Dartford, then heading around to Erith, which ended with a very satisfying reverse out of the customers road, missing all the kerbs at the end for a change Laughing . Aylesford got a flying visit before Sittingbourne hove into view, a single pallet quickie first, then into an RDC for over 3 hours. Just enough time left after that to swap trailers in the firm next door on the way home.

Friday: A full load to Chepstow. Nice drive out, and back, waving at SP Towers on the way through Very Happy . Managed to miss the worst of the traffic both ways too Waving

Lord SP states;

Cool thumbs up thumbs up thumbs up

I overdosed on scenery this 3 days! thumbs up In for 04.30 Friday and stick a trailer on for a visit to Jockland. A 4hr run saw me run up to Hamilton Services for a break, then onto first drop at **dl Livingstone followed by the remainder coming off at **di just down the road. With a one hour delay at each place, conversation with fellow truckers followed! Lets just say the quality and the breadth of knowledge amongst us lot is very special. We are a special breed! As I have said before cynicism is a key requirement for us lot! Laughing

A run down to Leeming Bar followed for the night.

Saturday was run down to the yard, stick an A**i Darlington on, do that, back to the yard and head down towards Swindon for the night. Salutations were given towards St Barts and Gloucester Road East- that's Birdie and me both passing S P Towers in 24 hrs! Shocked Laughing -followed by a night in a layby twixt the Air Ballon and Cirencester.

Sunday was run down to Swindon, get that off, run back to the yard, put a Goldthorpe on, do that, back to the yard and home!

A nice shift I thought!!!! thumbs up
