Monday: A simple load into Park Royal, followed by a simple reload from Kings Lynn. It got complicated when I returned to Guyhirn with that load. The plan was to take a trailer next door, swap it for another, go to Long Sutton to collect the rest of the load and deliver it to Spalding. When I got next door, the trailer I was supposed to be collecting had a different load on, whilst the trailer I had needed to go to Long Sutton to be tipped and reloaded for Spalding. Worst of all, the other trailer was making the same journey, in front of me Sad . A combination of waiting for the other vehicle to be reloaded at Long Sutton, the customer at Spalding wanting the load in two places, and an accident on the A47 meant I made it back into our yard with seconds to spare, and had to abandon ship, leaving the night shunter to drop my trailer as I was stone out of hours Rolling Eyes

Tuesday: A full load into Paddock Wood, followed by another reload from Kings Lynn. Manage to get a wash down at Walsoken on the way back to base, then swap trailers and head back to Kings Lynn to load another one home.

Wednesday: A defective trailer sees me getting the load transhipped before I can get out of the yard, moving me from comfortably in front to slightly behind Fit . First drop Rye Park, then round the corner to Hoddesdon before scooting down to Waltham Abbey for a bit of a wait as they had an urgent tea break to deal with Laughing . Final delivery to Bracknell, then back home empty for a change.

Thursday: Into the firm next door to collect my load, then up to Normanton to tip it. Once empty I'm asked to collect some returns from a sub contractor in Wakefield, then go to Walsoken to collect from a customer there. Sneak into Newark for a tacho break and a wash down, then collect Walsoken and head back to HQ. Theres a cunning plan involving returns and a load from next door, but my driving hours suggest its not such a good idea for me to be involved, so its home time instead.

Friday: Rye Park and Hoddy once again, then round to Enfield before heading around to a delivery on the site of what was once the AEC works in Southall (ask your dad if you're not sure Laughing ). Back up to the firm next door to reload back to base, then home for the weekend Waving

Car in for service on Monday, also another letter from DVLA to deal with. The local airport in the afternoon for a coffee where three Apache attack helicopters dropped in for a bacon sandwich. I asked them if they could make a slight diversion via Gorseinon* on the way back (*DVLA Swansea to the uninitiated)
Wednesday To Tewkesbury for coffee and some 'special' chocolate.
Thursday I'm sure I did something.
Friday back up north to Tewkesbury
