Well, if that was summer we've had it. Back to normal this week with cold and rain. Between showers I managed to turn some ground over and plant my tatties so success there.
On the going out front, not a lot apart from usual trips to Tewkesbury. _________________ Squarepeg ()

Given the weeks weather I think you did jolly well to get the spuds buried mate
Monday: A full load down to Harlow, then back up to Sutton to swap trailers for a load over to Northampton. I manage to get that off a bit early which gets me into the firm next door for one more trailer change to get a load back to HQ.
Tuesday: Another full load into Harlow, then over to Felixstowe. The queue at the docks is around the building, but it moves surprisingly quickly and I'm loaded within a couple of hours and on my way back to Guyhirn to end the day.
Wednesday: First stop Rye Park, then down to Waltham Abbey, where the absence of a queue is a welcome change. Just down the road for the next tip at Waltham Cross, where the narrow bays and pallet wagon being loaded in the middle of the yard make for a challenging reverse. Nothing gets broken during the couple of shunts I need to get it where I want it, andf no speed records are broken getting their pallets off either . Two little drops in Enfield empty the trailer, and I'm directed up to a farm near Ely to reload back to HQ.
Thursday: A visit to Bracknell begins the run, then back over the M4 to Reading. I'm early and they're being strict, so theres two hours parked outside before I am allowed onto a bay, followed by three hours waiting for them to tip and check the load to their satisfaction . Straight home empty after all that.
Friday: The week ends with some suprises . The first is that my run has gained an extra delivery. The second is that the extra delivery isn't on the trailer yet . Having got the additional pallets loaded I set off for Rugby, before running up to do two deliveries in Tamworth. The extra stop comes next, up at Walsall the pretty way to avoid the section of A5 closed following a lorry fire. Final call is back at Dordon, which I'm on time for despite the delays and extra drop. Theres a collection to do as well as the delivery, so its one in and one out before heading for home as fast as my wheels will carry me _________________ Life isn't about waiting for the storm to pass.
Its about learning to dance in the rain.
