-IMPORTANTAS of last night 6th feb2008
is a driveing ban in forces for the
B1 DORTMUND

THE ban is in force from 2200hrs until0600hrs
The ban starts at the Autobahn -crossing
Dortmund-West (B1//A45) and goes all the
way to the Dortmund-Unna crossing

The German police will be enforceing the BAN
which carrys a €40 fine and a point on your licence
POINTS for non holders of german licences will get their
own account opened for them and when you reach a certain
amount, you will get banned from driveing in germany for2-3 years.
BY the way all papers are pointing out a control will take any
thingfrom 20-30mins,plus they will more than likely turn you
around as well

The signs showing where the ban is in force are
well placed and can be read and understood by all
so be warned the police will be strict and except no
excuses when you try driveing through Dortmund
when not allowed.

THE GERMANS have carried out a check
on the ban which caught out 108lorrys
who after paying a fine for the offence
of non compliance with the ban, also
had the vehicle and occupant plus
docs completely checked.
this also included loadrestraint(lashing)
ADR;(HAZ) ;H&S; quite a few offenders
where caught also after the checks all vehicles
had to retrace their route and take the
diversion marked which made their journey
take even longer
