Easter came and went unnoticed by me deep in the pits of some Viral Cold I know I've never heard of one of those either.
I did make it to Stroud on Wednesday for a foot appointment
Thursday night saw a dash down the M5 for some emergency Belle cover as Milo is not too well at them moment.
Hopefully better news today. _________________ Squarepeg ()

Monday: A bank holiday, and so a lorry free zone
Tuesday: Back to the fray, via an unscheduled delay to get a broken tail lamp replaced on my unit . It looked as though someone had managed to brush a stack of pallets with it judging by the marks on the mudwing. With a full set of lights I head for Harlow, and find myself a place in the queue to tip. Almost three hours later they've tipped their stock off me and I can get along to Stowmarket for delivery number two. No delays here, and then its a run along the A14 to Felixstowe to reload for Guyhirn.
Wednesday: My load for today was supposed to be coming out of the firm next door, but with no trailer number supplied it was a game of hide and seek in the dark. A good luck round revealed no load in that yard, so I ran through to their other yard near March, where the load and some paperwork to go with it are found lurking on a trailer. After all the chasing about looking for the load Sittingbourne is reached just in front of the booking time, and getting it off the trailer doesn't take long. Just time for a break on the services, then its back up to Sutton to reload for Spalding. Fortune smiles as the load is ready, and a forkie is available to put it on the trailer too. Once loaded and rolling, I get a call telling me my father has been taken ill and is on his way to hospital. Work are understanding, and I tip the load and head straight for home from there.
The rest of the week consisted of a trip to Scarborough to see my mum and visit dad in hospital. It turned out to be a small stroke or TIA which had laid him low, and following a small operation to clear a blocked artery he was home Saturday afternoon. _________________ Life isn't about waiting for the storm to pass.
