A typical half term week, at least it's filled all my water tanks.
Nice when the sun came out so managed a few walks.
Also had the trauma of choosing a new phone after the battery died on my old one. I did consider buying a new battery but a 'proper' one is half the price of a new phone. With so much choice out there I rate it nearly as traumatic as getting new car insurance. _________________ Squarepeg ()

Funny you should have phone troubles SP, mines been playing silly beggars this week as well
Luckily a "good as new" replacement has been found, so the trauma of figuring out a new gadget has been avoided. Still got to get it set up to match the old one mind, but at least I've a little idea what I'm doing
Monday: A Bank Holiday, spent doing little lorry related
Tuesday: My first delivery of the week took me down to Basingstoke, then back up to Farnborough for drop two. With a tacho break squeezed between these, it was onwards and upwards to Hounslow for delivery three, to a private house in a cul de sac . He was a very nice man, but a little surprised to see his delivery at his house rather than at his storage unit a couple of miles away in Brentford . Having confirmed the new address with HQ it didn't take long to get up there and have it tipped, then the final stop was a little industrial estate in the back of Wembley. Reload from the other side of Wembley back to base.
Wednesday: An almost full load into Harlow, then the last few pallets up to Stowmarket. Out to Felixstowe for a long wait to reload, then back to HQ three and a half hours older than when I arrived
Thursday: Hoddy to begin, thena pair of Enfields, the second being a self tip, which allowed me to get the pallets for my visit to Woodford Green all together on the same side . Drop there and nip along to Bromley by Bow to finish the job, then head up to Fulbourne near Cambridge to reload for Guyhirn.
Friday: Into Wembley once more, then round to Greenford, where I'm early and they're busy, but they get me on the bay anyway . Two on the same estate in Southall, then back up to Wembley for a load which wasn't there! It seems the customer had decided to stop the load, but never got around to stopping the transport . Straight home empty and off for the weekend _________________ Life isn't about waiting for the storm to pass.
